How do I select a St. Joseph's Medical Group Primary Care Physician? If your insurance requires the selection of a Primary Care Physician (PCP), simply call your health plan at the number on the back of your insurance card and notify them of your new PCP selection. If you are not required to select a PCP, please call our office to make an appointment at 209.475.5500

How do I make an appointment? To schedule an appointment, contact our office directly by calling 209.475.5500.

What should I bring to my first visit with my doctor? You should bring a copy of your insurance card, a list of current medications, your applicable co-payment, and information about your medical history.

What if I need care after normal business hours? If you have a life-threatening emergency, you should immediately call 911. For all other health-related calls, St. Joseph's Medical Group has a physician on-call, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. You may call 209.475.5500 and you will be directed to a physician. For all other calls (e.g., billing, appointments, refills, etc), please contact during normal business hours.

May I request copies of my medical records? Yes. Copies of medical records can be requested during normal business hours. A detailed joint notice with instructions for requesting copies of records is posted on our website.

What services are available via iHealth? Through our partnership with iHealth, you can create your own personal health record online, safely and securely. The personal health record can contain as little or as much information as you would like to include, such as current medications, chronic health issues, allergies to medications, etc. You can also create health records for your children or elderly parents. With iHealth you can also use Secure Messaging to communicate with our office to request appointments, refill prescriptions, ask non-urgent medical questions and more.

How can I get started with iHealth's online services? To get started with our new iHealth services:

  • Visit your our office to verify your registration information.

  • Complete the Secure Messaging Agreement and establish a security phrase to protect your online identity.

  • Visit www.stjosephsmedgroup.org and select your doctor from our physician finder. From your doctor's profile, click the link to their iHealth page.

  • Click on "New User" in the patient login box and complete the iHealth registration form to create your personal health record and to request the online secure messaging service that connects you to your doctor and other providers in the group.

  • Enjoy the convenience of your personal health record and online secure messaging for appointment requests, medication renewals and non-urgent medical questions.
